Millie Donaldson – 2024 Feature Screenplay Finalist

Cactus

Maisie Greene is dead. Or at least she was, until a boy named Jack decided to resurrect her without her permission.

As a disabled writer living with a rather impressive list of improbably rare genetic mutations, Millie’s work tends to deal with the abnormal and fantastical, often dealing with themes of disability and transformation. She is also a fan of writing horror and genre-based works, the bigger the concept the better!

Acting has always been Millie’s first love and she looks forward to continuing to perform characters of her own, and others, creation. Millie has recently obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Screenwriting at the Victorian College of The Arts and continues to be mentored by Joel Anderson (Lake Mungo) and Robert Connolly (The Dry, Balibo, Paper Planes).

She is also a series regular in the Netflix mini-series; Boy Swallows Universe, premiering January 2024. She has also recently provided script consulting work for Sophie Hyde’s upcoming feature film, An Ideal Wife.
