BlueCat finalist, Vicki Speegle, is producing a documentary, In the Night I Remember Your Name, the story of her mother, a gay activist and pastor, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2005.

“My Mom was a wife and a gay activist. A grandmother and a pastor. And she had Alzheimer’s.

In the Night I Remember Your Name is a very intimate chronicle of my mother’s life and struggle with the disease. It is the story of a grandmother’s grief as she begins to lose the very abilities that her new granddaughter is learning. It is the story of a pastor’s relationship with God as she questions what is happening to her. It is a journey from anguish to acceptance. And, in the end, it is a story of joy.”

– Vicki Speegle

Vicki is asking for your help in finishing her mother’s story and has launched a crowdsourcing campaign to help fund post-production costs. If you would like to contribute to In the Night I Remember Your Name, please visit the film’s Indiegogo page here.
