When you submit a script, we collect the script title, author name(s), category selection, and the uploaded PDF file. Payment details are processed securely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.

We automatically collect certain technical information when you visit our site, including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is collected through Cloudflare's infrastructure for security, performance, and analytics purposes.

We use the information we collect to process your script submissions and payments, manage the competition workflow, assign professional readers, deliver feedback, and communicate with you about your submissions.

We use your email address to send transactional emails related to your account and submissions (confirmations, feedback notifications, password resets). If you subscribe to our newsletter, we also send periodic content about screenwriting and competition updates.

We use anonymized, aggregated data to understand how our platform is used and to improve our services. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Scripts you submit are stored securely and shared only with the professional reader(s) assigned to review them and our administrative team. Reader feedback and scores are internal to the competition process.

Readers can only access scripts specifically assigned to them. Your feedback is held by our administrative team until it is reviewed and approved for release to you.

If your script is selected as a winner or finalist, your name, script title, and award category may be published on our winners archive pages. We do not publish scripts, feedback, or scores.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, expiration date, or CVV on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.

We retain records of transactions (amounts, dates, associated submissions) for accounting and customer service purposes.

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and ensure the security of our platform. These are necessary for the site to function and cannot be disabled.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection on all forms. This service may set cookies to verify that you are a real user.

We may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics via Cloudflare Zaraz) to understand site usage. These tools collect anonymized data about page visits and interactions. You can opt out of analytics tracking through our cookie preferences.

If you subscribe to our newsletter via the footer signup form, your name and email address are shared with Mailchimp, our email marketing provider. Mailchimp's privacy policy governs how they process your data.

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Our platform is hosted on Cloudflare Workers with encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and we use industry-standard security headers and access controls.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your account information and submission history for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Competition records (submissions, feedback, scores, winners) are retained indefinitely as part of the competition archive.

If you wish to delete your account, please contact us. Note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, object to or restrict processing, and data portability. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information below.
