South Side Girls

Set in the early 2000s, a reclusive teenager and her outspoken best friend lean on each other to navigate troubled home lives and problematic first loves in a Puerto Rican south side neighborhood of Milwaukee, WI.

A creative who grew up between Puerto Rico and Wisconsin and now spends her days in the Texas heat. I’ve spent most of my career as a content creator in the corporate world. When it comes to storytelling, my writing centers on character dramas and coming-of-age stories. I have a particular interest in exploring the crossroad moments in life. And the ways in which life often goes from the open possibility of a hundred different paths to a definitive moment or choice.
