Electric Town: 2011 BlueCat Fellini Award Winner Makes Short to Screen at Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival
Writer/director Tony Mullen won the 2011 BlueCat Fellini Award for his script, Electric Town. Now a short film, it has been selected to screen at the 2015 Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival.
The film tells the story of a lonely old man who turns to a strange robotic pet to assuage his grief over his deceased dog. But when his new companion’s uncanny responses threaten to expose his most secret desires, he realizes he’s gotten more than he bargained for. The short is a surreal and moving comedy-drama set in the heart of Tokyo.
