Lorelai Jo-hsuan Lin – 2024 Short Film Script Finalist

A Tempo

Present-day Brooklyn, DOLL, a Vietnamese nursing home employee with an exceptional singing voice unexpectedly helps former opera star GIOVANNI pluck up the courage to visit his ailing ex-wife.

A Tempo is inspired by a visit to my great-aunt who lived in a Brooklyn nursing home for over three decades.

This script is dedicated to nursing home residents who lived a full life miles apart but end up as close companions in the final hours of their lives.
